First is a 6 hour oil painting 20in X 24in of Sara. She had just returned from France so the traveling pose really fit with her mood. Next is a quick landscape 18in X 14in done just north of Redmond in the valley around 7 in the morning on a Sunday. The Sun was just breaking through the trees. This next one was my second take at the Cove with is a little beach close to my grandparents near Sea Tack airport. This version differed from the first because it was quite sunny and really made the colors pop. These next 4 are from yesterday morning they are vine charcoal on paper done in 25 min. The model was Sara and the Catwoman poses were very fun to draw. Hope you enjoy.
Here are some recent paintings. The first is a shell that was painted in one sitting in my studio. I had a lot of fun playing with all the temperatures of white. I would like to do more of these high key paintings. The next is a painting of a model I found on Modelmayhem named Kyoko she has a bit of a pixie quality. You may recognize Pigeon in the next one I have used her as a model for a couple of years now. She is fun to paint and a solid model. Anna the model in the last painting is also a very good model and one I have been painting for a while. All the paintings are oil on canvas 16in X 20in and completed in about 3 hours.

Here are some paintings I did last weekend. My wife and son were out of town so I was able to paint all weekend. The figurative paintings are from the Life drawing session I organize. The beach landscape is from an area near Seatac called the Cove. The stream was in Farrel McWhirter park in Redmond. And lastly the flowers were in studio.
Here are some paintings and drawing from the last month. The Windmill is a plein air from Marymoor Park in Redmond Washington. The painting of the house is my Grandparents house it has always been one of my favorite places on earth.
Ok so here are the next 127 images that I have scanned over the last week. I hope you enjoy. I am presenting these as a slide show as well but you can see them individually here Gestures08_02
I scanned some gestures tonight. I made it through 60 i think I still have around 100 to go. I thought I would do a slide show instead of individual images. You can see them on there own on my Picasa gallery.
I have been organizing a life drawing session in downtown Seattle since 1999. I hire models for a Saturday morning and Monday night session. I pay $60 for 3 hours work. The Saturday morning session goes from 9:30am - 12:30pm and requires nude figure modeling. The Monday night session goes from 6:30pm - 9:30pm and is generally 1 single pose and clothed or costumed.
